The electrochemiluminescence (ECL) of luminol on indium tin oxide (ITO) glass was much higher even under lower potential around .4 to .5V, which was quite different from other electrode as platinum. ITO nanoparticles were synthesized and devoted into the research toward the function of ITO glass in the ECL process. A static interaction between ITO and luminol is confirmed from UV-Vis and fluorescence spectra. Then the ECL enhancement could be supposed to be originated from the adsorption of luminol on ITO, which facilitated luminol's oxidization into the excited state and giving out ECL.
