This research background by many students who have difficulty in understanding mathematics, particularly multiplication material, so many students are beraggapan that math is a difficult subject. Therefore, the necessary application of the model STAD as one method to improve student learning outcomes. The problems that arise in this study were (a) How do I implement STAD models in an effort to improve the learning outcomes of the subject matter of multiplication Elementary School second grade students Ngempon 02. (B) How is student learning outcomes through the application of learning models STAD?. The research subject is a class act II Elementary School students Ngempon 02, amounting to 30 students, consisting of 17 men - men and 13 women. The independent variable in this study is the effectiveness of learning through STAD and dependent variables learning outcomes multiplication material. With over 2 cycles can be concluded that the implementation of the model STAD learning can improve student learning outcomes grade II material multiplication and activity of students. to increase student learning outcomes indicated value - average was 64.7 in the first cycle, the second cycle 82.87. Mastery learning students has increased, the cycle of students who pass the study 17 students and 13 students who did not complete, as well as classical completeness 56.67%. Cycle II is a thoroughly studied 27 students and 3 students who did not complete, and the classical completeness 90%. The results of the second cycle competency test cycle better than I. Active students increased, it is demonstrated activity of students in the second cycle> Cycle I (75.2%> 66.6%), It appears that the activity of the second cycle students are more effective than the cycle I. Through using STAD models can improve learning outcomes multiplication material grade 2 elementary school students Ngempon 02.
