Transitional processes are investigated in the rotor-stator system when the rotor becomes abruptly unbalanced in their contact, and the rotor rotates slower or faster than its critical speed while the torque is standard for turbine characteristics. It is shown that rotor in contact can operate relatively safely within a few fractions of a second under immense dynamic load affecting both the rotor and the stator. The system processes are discussed in time, including the misbalance effect, the rotational velocity, and the recovery factor upon the critical sliding friction coefficient making the rotor run-in dangerous on the stator.
The mathematical model describing rotor and sealing ring motion with impacts based on the Hertz solution is considered. The model’s verification is carried out using basic formulas of the state-of-the-art static theory of contact of profiles matched by shape.
We study the rectilinear motion of a mass point with impacts against a stopper. The motion between the impacts is described by a second-order ordinary differential equation with a parameter. The impact recovery coefficient also depends on the parameter of the vibroimpact system. We describe a bif...

The results are presented of the study of the computer spline simulation of the regularity of the formation of roughness and residual stresses over a finite set of bracket sections of an aircraft production unit with a 3D arrangement of surfaces by vibroimpact surface hardening with a planar traj...
The aim of this paper is to propose a new way to measure the efficiency of the proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) to construct a reduced-order model in Structural Dynamics. It investigates the efficiency of three reduced-order models for a vibroimpact problem: (1) PODdir-basis, which is the ba...
The analysis of the vibroimpact processes in systems with many degrees of freedom in the case of forced random vibrations excited by broadband processes of the white noise type is given. The calculation methods are based on the theory of diffusion Markovian processes. Linear and lattice structure...
