Densities, Viscosities, Speeds of Sound, and Refractive Indices of Binary Mixtures of 2-Octanol with Chlorobenzenes
Densities, ρ, viscosities, η, speeds of sound, u, and refractive indices, nD, of binary liquid mixtures of 2-octanol with 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 1,3-dichlorobenzene, and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene have been measured over the entire range of composition at 298.15 K, 33.15 K, and 38.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. From the experimental data of the density, speed of sound, viscosity, and refractive index, the values of the excess molar volume, VE, deviations in isentropic compressibility, ΔκS, and deviations in molar refraction, ΔR have been calculated. The calculated excess and deviation functions have been analyzed in terms of molecular interactions and structural effects.

Measurement of Binary Diffusion Coefficients for Neon–Argon Gas Mixtures Using a Loschmidt Cell Combined with Holographic Interferometry
The paper reports on experimental binary diffusion coefficient data of neon–argon gas mixtures. Measurements were performed in the temperature range between 293.15 K and 333.15 K and for pressures between 1 bar and 10 bar over almost the whole composition range using a Loschmidt diffusion cell ...
Multicomponent fluid of nonadditive hard spheres near a wall
A recently proposed rational-function approximation [Phys. Rev. Application of surface and normal ultrasonic waves for measuring the parameters of technical fluids: II. Density measurements
The effect of a fluid on the surface waves moving in a waveguide along its boundary with the fluid is considered. The effect of the shear and volume viscosities of the fluid on the damping coefficient of such a surface wave is estimated. It is shown that the effect of fluids may be neglected at a...
